The Art of Connectionđź”—

Yes, yes, it is.

Hey Gardeners! I hope all is well! As always, I’ve been super busy with work and life, so it’s been a bit challenging to write, but I will always push through to share what I’ve learned. Today, I want to talk about connection. We live in a world that is so hyper-focused on being “self-made” and “independent” that we miss out on the purpose that God created us for—connection.

My Uncle Calvin passed away. That was my daddy’s big brother, and he was a fantastic uncle. I didn’t see him as often as my other uncles, but we connected deeply. He told me I reminded him of my Grandma Catherine and that he loved me very much. See, you don’t have to be with someone daily to be physically connected. You don’t have to talk every moment to be connected. Connection is a choice. It is a decision we make to be active in life.

How many times have you had something happen that bruised your ego? You might have told yourself, “They won’t get that side of me again.” Trust me, I’ve been there before. But the art of connection is like a gravitational pull. It pulls us towards who we are divinely wired to be, which is connected.

Matching Energies

I know everyone is familiar with this. Anyone who’s been on social media has seen some post with a witty comment about treating people the way they treat you, and in the heat of the moment, it seems like the right thing to do; however, changing who you are to gain the power in a situation is not what God wants. He wants to change the situation and work it out to where he gets the glory. So, when it comes to matching energy—unless you are modeling yourself after God, I’m sorry, but you’re headed to the land of disconnect.

How do we remain connected during moments of disconnect?

I asked myself this question, and for a long time, I did not think it was possible. But now, I know that it can happen. Disconnect doesn’t have to be with another person—we can become disconnected from ourselves and with God when life gets too heavy. It’s so easy to lean to our understanding and to answer conflicts with our own words, but it’s not going to solve the disconnect.

Seeking God and waiting for him to show you the end goal is the way to reconnect. God doesn’t want us to be disconnected, discouraged, or dismayed. He wants us to connect, encourage, and be joyful. Lately, that’s been my focus: remaining connected to God and learning how to become the woman he envisioned. One way I’ve worked towards that is by reading my Bible more and spending more time plugged into my word. Today, I completed 250 days in my Bible app.

🥳👏🏽🎉

I apologize for being gone so long; I’ve been living in the moment and working on being more present and connected. I appreciate all of the love and support I have received. Trust me, I am getting back to the Garden because harvest season is approaching, and we have a lot to do! I’ve added the current Bible Plan I’m doing—check it out!
