First off, I want to thank each and every one of you for all your support over the past five years.
This space has been my launch and landing pad. It has carried me through some incredibly difficult times, and I am forever grateful that I had a place to share some of my deepest thoughts with you.
I want you to know that this decision did not come lightly. It is one I made with intention.
💕🌻😘
I started this space while processing the grief of losing my grandmother, Frankie Childs. As I’ve said time and time again, she gave me my love for writing, and I will forever be grateful for that. I came here when I left the church and started exploring astrology, and I came back here when I realized that wasn’t for me. This blog was here for me after an abusive relationship, through a lackluster job, through heartbreak, healing, change, and everything in between.
Garden of Growth helped me discover a strength I didn’t know I had.
But just like all good things, seasons come to an end. I planted this garden. We grew it together. And now, it’s time for me to move on.
💕🌻😘
I’m not saying that I’m done writing. Truthfully, I don’t have an answer for that. But I do know that I’m open to whatever adventure comes next, and I have a feeling it’s going to be a good one. Thank you for everything—for subscribing, sharing, liking, reading, or simply telling someone about my blog. None of it has gone unnoticed. If I could leave you with any piece of advice, it would be this:
LIVE.
I spent so many years yearning. Crying over what I thought I wanted. People pleasing. Trying to meet expectations—some placed on me by others and plenty that I placed on myself.
But now?
I am living.
I am learning who I am outside of all the imaginary expectations we’ve subconsciously been subjected to. I am learning to experience my life instead of constantly trying to make it look a certain way.
And you know what?
I want that for you too.
Prioritize your health—all aspects of it. Your physical health matters. Your mental health matters. Your spiritual and emotional health matter too.
Find your chosen family. I mean the people who truly show up for you—and the people you’re willing to show up for too.
Rest. Please use your PTO, vacation days, and sick days. Your body, mind, and soul are connected, and they all need time to recharge.
Start therapy. Yes, you can have Jesus and therapy. I promise, He won’t mind.
Find some hobbies and enjoy them. Give yourself permission to experience things simply because they bring you joy, without feeling like everything has to be shared, explained, or turned into something more.
And finally, continue becoming the best version of yourself that you can be. You are so very loved, wanted, and seen. I am so glad you’re here, and I want you to stay.
So, this is it.
This will be the last post from me on Garden of Growth.
It has been one amazing ride—one that I wouldn’t change for the world.
Thank you for growing with me.
Thank you for giving my words somewhere to land.
And thank you, thank you, thank you for these five beautiful years.
Take care,
Tori B.💕🌻
