Happy Birthday: One Year of Garden of Growth πŸ₯³πŸŽŠπŸ’•πŸŒ»

on

One whole year! Proud is an understatement. When I decided to start blogging, I had no idea the direction it would take, and I am beyond pleased about where we are today. In honor of my baby turning one, I’ve decided to pay homage to a few of my favorite posts and share some wishes for GoG moving forward. πŸ₯³πŸ₯³

A few favorites!

I had a lot of fun writing β€œThe Art of Husbandry.” It was one of those posts that allowed me to teach, and well, teaching is a passion of mine. Caring for plants is not that different from caring for yourself. This post is heavy on the grace needed for self-love. It’s one of those posts that taught me to take my time and, most importantlyβ€”be kind to myself.

This post! It was so hard to write this. I was having a tough time in one aspect of my life, and it was boiling over. I wanted to write and couldn’t, but the strength I gained from pushing through to write this post gave me much-needed reassurance.

Matching energies! Whew! That’s been a thing for a minute, and this post talks about how matching energies isn’t *always* the move. It’s okay to be yourselfβ€”I recommend it, and the way to do that is to maintain the energy that belongs to you.

Last but not least…

Pressure on my toesβ€”my mini synopsis over β€œYou Are Your Best Thing,” by Tarana Burke and Dr. BrenΓ¨ Brown. I learned so much about shame resilience and how important it is to accept yourself, mistakes and all. You can’t pour from an empty cup, and you can’t be fully present if you are hiding from yourself. This post was refreshing, and I am thankful for all I learned.

Of course, I love all my posts, and I could spend all day writing about each one. This first anniversary means so much to me because I stuck with it. Even when I was tired physically and mentallyβ€”I told myself that the Garden of Growth was mine and I should stick with it. I am so glad I did.

I am looking forward to a new year with new adventures and posts. Thank you to everyone who has supported me! I’ve said this several times, and I will repeat itβ€”it means the WORLD to me. *Blows out candles* I wish for more insight, peace, temperance, patience, and joy to continue learning about me. I want to continue to share and help others. Those are my wishes, and I cannot wait to see where we GROW from here. πŸ’œ

✨ all smiles✨

Take Care,
